Call me biased, but this girl is one of my favorite models. Madison is the middle one of my 3 daughters. Her first senior session occurred at a lake during our summer trip to Arkansas, not in our hometown of Frisco, TX. I’m not saying we chose our vacation home for this purpose, not just for that anyway. Since we usually like to book places with some nature, close to a small town, and access to water, it was not hard to pick a place that photographs well too.
Unfortunately, the weather was not fully on our side when we started our shoot in the morning. The sun couldn’t make up its mind and neither could the rain. But we made the best of it for about an hour and then added a part 1.0 in the evening. This also allowed her to change her hairstyle and outfit.
We also took a few family pictures that evening and I even got photos of my husband and my other girls. This is an achievement in itself. Unlike their sister, they don’t like being in front of the camera. You can find the results of those efforts here.
Confession time: As a senior girl in high school, who loves getting her pictures taken, there’s nothing much better then to have a Mom (or in our case bonus-mom), who is just starting a photography business. Just ask my daughter Madison and she will confirm. “Don’t you want more portfolio pictures?” is a regular question in my home. What I’m trying to say: there will be more sessions, pictures and of course, more posts, so stay tuned. For now, enjoy the results of our first shoot.
